It’s Dental Month!!!

That’s right, February is dental month.  A time to take a closer look at your pet’s oral health to increase the longevity of it’s life!.  Does your pet’s breath have an unpleasant odor?  Do their teeth have plaque build up?  Are their gums red and inflamed? Are they eating a little less or slower than they used to?  If you answered yes to any of these questions it is time to get your pet’s teeth cleaned!  It may also be time to get some info on how to keep your pet’s teeth clean once they have been professionally cleaned!

The reason that we emphasize oral health and clean teeth is the same reason that your dentist does.  Studies have shown that YEARLY teeth cleanings proved these benefits:

  • Reduces plaque and tartar formation
  • Decreases gum & tooth infections
  • Helps prevent bad breath
  • Helps prevent heart, kidney & liver disease.

This is because the large blood supply to the gums gets infected with the bacteria that live in the plaque and tarter.  That infected blood is then spread to the rest of the body causing additional demands on the heart, kidney and liver – shortening your pet’s happiness and life.

To support dental month we will be giving 10% dental cleanings this month and your pet will get a goodie bag at the time of pick up to help you keep their teeth clean. Call us today to set up your pet’s teeth cleaning.  362-5329
