Dr. Wayne Loertscher, D.V.M.


Wayne Loertscher was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He grew up on a ranch where his favorite activity was working with the horses and cattle. Wayne graduated from Bonnerville High School. After graduation he attended Ricks College (now BYU Idaho) where he met the love of his life, Erin Quirk. After serving a mission in England he married Erin and started his family. He graduated with his B.S. degree from Utah State University in 1996 and graduated from Washington State University with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Wayne started his profession in Reno, Nevada where he practiced for five years. In 2003 he purchased and now runs Ada Animal Hospital as its Senior Veterinarian. He loves animals and has two dogs, six horses, and several pigeons and chickens. In the little spare time that Wayne has he enjoys spending time with his wife and six children, bee keeping, hiking, whitewater rafting, camping, cycling and farming.

Dr. Zoe Baxter, D.V.M.


Dr. Zoe Baxter was born and raised in the Boise area. She attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR where she earned a B.S. in biology. After spending a year in Seattle, WA as an animal control officer for King County she moved to Pullman to attend Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Baxter and her husband moved back to the Boise area where she began working at Ada Animal Hospital. Dr. Baxter has worked in the veterinary field for 10 years at many different clinics in 3 Northwest cities, as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician and a veterinarian. She currently lives in Boise with her husband, adorable son, 2 dogs, 2 cats and usually a foster animal or two. Dr. Baxter enjoys spending time with family, friends and pets, reading, camping, traveling, and donating her hair to “Locks of Love.”
